Ethan's turn to say goodbye...

Ms. Delene was Ethan's preschool teacher this year and he loved her! She was so much fun and really really loved the kids! Now that we are in Texas, he asks when he can go back to school. I hear this everyday "Is it school day yet Mommy?" "Nope sorry babe, you have a LONG time until school starts again!" (I hope this isn't going to be a long boring summer!)

They also caught this snake at the park. Dad and I were not excited about this at all. But the kids and adults thought it was pretty cool!

We took the kids to the park after the temple to play. Val was moving and we didn't want the kids to get into anything. I am so glad we did! There was this spinning thing that looked so sweet and innocent and no big deal to ride on. OH MY GOODNESS! It flew you around in circles and when you got off you were so dizzy! Sorry Rosane that it is your picture on here, but I didn't get a shot of anyone else doing it!

Tanner went through the temple a week before I left. The family (minus Jeff who was house hunting) was there all together. It was a gorgeous day!

Saying Goodbye

Here we are at Jeff's Moms house. She was gone for Mother's Day so this was our Mother's Day and last dinner (for a while) at her house. The boys had fun, she makes popcorn on the stove and takes the lid off and lets the kernals fly everywhere! It makes them laugh so hard. Its a cute little tradition/memory she is making with them.

I let Andrew take a camera to school to take pictures of all his friends. He had a blast with it and now thinks he should always be the photographer. :)

Crazy kid

Our Last Beach Day

We didn't know this, but this was our last time playing at the beach. (living in California at least, we do want to go back!) Rachel and her boys came and it was a lot of fun! Nathan was so good and just sat there playing the whole time. Zack was ALL over the place, it got a little frustrating, but it made me glad I didn't bring Ava too! That would have been crazy! Rachel and I never seem to get pictures together, and thankfully I am not in any of these! :) Thank you to Jack and Walker who helped me keep Zack under control!

Super Speller

In March Andrew got an award for being the top speller in his class.(Definitely takes after Mommy! :))He was so excited to see me at the assembly and he earned himself a free meal at Mimi's Cafe. He is so good in school, I am so grateful for that!

Black Eye

I have a love hate relationship with trampolines. They are so much fun for the kids, and it wears them out completely. But then there is the other side of it where they are dangerous! A simple little bonk on the head while both children are bouncing=a serious black eye. Andrew was so embarrassed! My friends at the party thought I was exaggerating how bad it was, but no, he looked like Quasimodo from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. He wouldn't let me take a picture until almost a week later, but I promise it was protruding at least 2 inches off his head! Poor guy was SO embarrassed! He couldn't see the cool factor in having a battle wound at all. Hopefully he will not get anymore, but he is a hyper boy so I doubt that will happen!
(the pictures aren't the greatest, they are off my cell phone)

New Bikes

*We are going to play a little catch up!*
Andrew grew out of his bike he was riding so we traded up! Andrew got a new bike and Ethan got Andrew's old bike. Now this is where hand me downs suck for the kid and are great for the parents. Ethan wants a new bike too, but why spend money if you have a perfectly good bike sitting right there? I promise Ethan, one of these days you will get a NEW bike!

My life in boxes

As you all know, we are moving-in 2 weeks. Last weekend I payed a babysitter to watch the kids while I cleaned out the garage. That felt so good! I got rid of so much stuff! Most of it was baby stuff which felt like I was jinxing myself, but we don't need it so it's gone! We can actually walk in there. I should take a picture. Anyway, I thought it would be so smart to bring up all the boxes I have so that I can start packing. Well now, this is how we are living:

Oh it is soooo annoying! I still have to function here for the next 2 weeks, so I think Jeff is going to have some work to do this weekend. ie: moving the boxes down to my nice clean garage. I want to do it myself, and I probably could, but wow that would take me a lot longer than it will him. Sorry hunny! So if you stop by, and I don't invite you in, you will know why. :)

Finicky-Finicky

Way back in the beginning of February we told you all that we were moving to Dallas. Then we said we weren't. Then we were, then we weren't. Well now we are. Officially. They kept coming back to Jeff and asking what it would take to get us out there. Well they managed to work it out. Jeff will probably be out there mid May and the boys and I will follow in June once school is out. I am really excited for this opportunity for our family. But I am so nervous! I have done a big move completely away from family and I know how hard it is. So this time I am not naive enough to think its going to be all roses. I also know how wonderful it is to make friends who end up becoming like family. So I am really excited about that. I know will be busy packing (again) and saying goodbye to friends and family. Just know if you want to come visit Dallas TX you have a place to stay! (those people that I know :))
The finickiness by the way was not us, it was them.

Luau at the Hilton

Jeff's brother lives on Maui and he got us GREAT VIP tickets to this luau. We were literally on the front row. It was so cool. My favorite night of the whole week we were there. There was one part when the warriors challenged Jeff to pick up the leaf, which is an offering of friendship I suppose, and I wish I could describe how funny it was. We have it on video, and I don't have the pictures to do it justice. It was awesome though!

All because two people fell in love
